Frequently Asked Questions
about IconForge and ActivIcons
Q: I have seen some web sites which use custom animated cursors when you go into their pages. How can I use my own cursors on my site?
- You can use the cursors you create in IconForge on your site, but you will need to add some code to display the cursors. E.g., you can change the cursor when it hovers over a link with a simple style declaration by placing this code in a link or in your style sheet (use your own cursor file names)...
<a style="cursor:url('ca_uparrow.cur'), url('ca_uparrow.gif'), auto;" href="http://www.cursorarts.com/ca_faqif.html">this cursor effect</a>- using the above produces this cursor effect on a link;
- or substitute animated .ani and .gif images to produce this cursor effect
The other option would be to use a browser plugin such as Comet Cursor from Comet Systems to display your cursors.
