Frequently Asked Questions
about ImageForge and ImageForge PRO
Q: I would like to make a screensaver from a series of images. Can I do that?
- Here are the steps to create a screen saver:
- Click on the Tools menu, and select Create an Album or Slideshow. A window will be displayed which allows you to specify how your album will be configured;
- Go to the Image tab:
- Use the + icon to select the image files to include;
- Select the Place All Images Listed Above into a Windows Screen Saver option;
- Your slide show is placed within an installation program. Place the name of the install program into the Installation File Name box (e.g., "Setup.exe");
- Go to the Installation Appearance tab to select color and other options for the setup program which will be created;
- Under the Image Viewer tab, type in a new Viewer File Name. This file name should end with ".scr" (note that the copyright and other options will be shown in the screen saver's properties description);
- Go to the Slide Show tab to add transition effects between images, etc;
- Once you have finished, click the Create button and the screen saver will be created;
- You may either distribute the installation program (Setup.exe) to others, or (for your own use) simply copy the .scr file you created to the "C:\Windows\System" folder (for Windows 95, 98 or ME). For Windows NT4 or 2000, copy the .scr file to the "C:\Winnt\System32" folder, and for Windows XP copy to the "C:\Windows\System32" folder. It will then appear in the list of screen savers in the Windows Control Panel's Display applet.
