Frequently Asked Questions
about ImageForge and ImageForge PRO
Q: How can I insert a piece of one image onto another?
- There are several ways to do this in ImageForge. One easy method is illustrated in the following exercise...
- Open the image containing the face;
- Select a color which is not used anywhere else in the image;

- Use the Fill tool to fill in the background (you may need to
adjust the "Color Similarity" slider to make it easier to fill areas
having similar color values);

- If this is good enough, then you can just click twice on the Fill tool to replace the background color with another color of your choosing). If you want to place the area onto another background, then go on to the next step;
- Once you have filled in the background, select the Scissors tool
and surround the area which you want to copy;

- With this area surrounded, go to the "Edit" menu and select "Copy";
- Open a new image (or create a new image with the background you
want to use);

- In the new image, return to the "Edit" menu and choose "Paste" then "Paste as New Selection (Transparent)";
- Drag the imported image to the location where you want it to
remain (you can also stretch it, if desired);

- Use "File" / "Save As" to save the edited image under a new name.
