Watermark Filter (PRO version Only)
This filter can be used to add a faint watermark over your image. Select a second, smaller image to use as the watermark. You can control where the watermark appears by using the X (number of pixels from the left side) and Y (number of pixels from the top) fields to specify where to place the watermark image. The upper/left corner of the watermark image will be placed, starting at this location.
If you wish the some areas of the image to be completely transparent, checkmark the Make Image Transparent box. All areas of the image will be marked as transparent which have the same color as the color of the pixel in the upper/left corner of the watermark image.
You can control the transparency of the entire watermark by adjusting the Intensity percentage.
Tech Tip: Although they may be used purely for design effects, watermarks are most commonly used to prevent people from pirating images from web pages, video broadcasts, etc. Usually a simple logo is used in a corner of the image. For images which are for sale, you may wish to place a large watermark which affects the entire image, to prevent viewers from cropping the image to remove the watermarked portion. Using an image which contains many shades of color or gray will make the watermark much more difficult to remove, than would a simple black and white watermark image.
