Use these settings to configure the defaults for saving various image types. You may also change the settings when you use the Save As command from the File menu.
Jpeg Images: You may need to experiment with these settings to produce an optimized JPG-format image. To see the result of your settings, click the Preview JPeg Image button.
Quality: Slide the bar to the right to increase the saved image's quality (this will usually also increase the image's file size).
Smoothing Ratio: Slide this bar to the right to make the image smoother (this can reduce obvious patterns).
Preview: Click this button to see how your settings will affect the final image, once you've saved it.
Other formats:
TIF Images: If you wish to save TIFF (Tagged Image File Format) images using a compression method, you may choose the method from this drop-down menu.
GIF Images: You may also choose to specify the number of times GIF animations will loop, as well as whether or not to Interlace GIF and PNG images (interlaced images are displayed in web browsers first in low-resolution, and then in higher resolution as the image is loaded).
