System Requirements
Although ImageForge will run on a lesser system, for optimal performance, we recommend a Pentium-class processor, 32mb RAM, 8mb free disk space (in addition to the swap space used by Windows), mouse or other Windows-compatible pointing device.
Your Windows' display system must be set to Hi-Color or True Color mode (this is set by going to Start/Settings/Control Panel/Display, then clicking on the Settings tab and selecting the display mode from the Colors drop-down menu).
System Resources
Graphics programs tend to use a lot of processing power. If you have other programs running in the background, you may run low on Windows' System Resources. System Resources are not the same as memory, RAM or disk space. When you have too many programs running, your Windows System Resources may reach a critically low level, which can cause programs to lock-up or crash. If you experience this, try closing some of the programs which you have running in the background. The default Windows or other software installations can install many of these little programs, some of which you may never need or use. Examples of these are FindFast, Crash Guard-type utilities, Task Scheduler (which is unnecessary unless you actually use it), etc. You might also try closing down programs which you might usually leave idling in the background: e.g., try only running your e-mail program when you actually need to collect or send mail or shutting down your virus scanner until you actually acquire new files which might contain viruses, etc.
